VIRGO 2013

Cruise with the Fam once again, sort of like our favourite family past-time hahaha.

Still remember how I used to come here every other weekend when I was younger... Tagged along, got dumped at childcare, spent most of my time at the children's pool and arcade - we even made friends on board, who were in similar situations with their parents stuck at the casino. Now that we're older, the activities change and the number of trips dwindle... 10 whole years - but this place definitely doesn't grow old at all. :')

Asia Grand Restaurant

Asia Grand Restaurant @ Odeon Towers with the extended family for a weekend lunch cause we are such huge fans of chinese cuisine, particularly in the dimsum area. Check out the ice-cream designed in the form of a peach! How cool is thatttt. And it was such a challenge snapping all these shots because my family eats fast and furiously hahaha. Ordered like a huge chunk of dimsum, and it was wiped out within 5 minutes. Hol.

Anyway, been recently catching up on a new drama - Nice Guy/Innocent Man. I'm not particularly a huge fan of such melodramatic dramas (more of a comedy fan XD) but this show is a must-watchhhh. Most of their conversations are superrr loaded and full of spite; plus Song Joong Ki's acting is too damn good! Kinda exhausting to watch too many episodes at one go though, pretty much angst overloaded. But still, go watch if you can!!:)

Min Jiang at One North

Celebrated Sis' Birthday at Min Jiang (at One North). It was pretty okay, 'cept that I wasn't really expecting a semi-alfresco kinda setting hahaha. And Mom bought a super yummy choc pistachio cake from Drips. Not a huge fan of desserts, but really liked the waffle base! Mmmm. :D Anyway, I reckon the outlet at Goodwood park ought to be better, at least in terms of accessibility, but One North still has this dempsey/indie appeal which I'm kinda diggin'. hahaha. And I want to check out the new Starvista mall at BV!! Heard that there's loads of quaint cafes there - *cue* brunchhhhhhh! :D Speaking of which, I haven't had one in a while. When, my dear brunch buddies, when??? :)

Grand Shanghai

Fried Eel dish that we tried. Pretty interesting!

Grand Shanghai for the celebration of CTGN's september babies. Loved the interior, so beautifully decorated and elaborate! There was also live getai at the same time, good entertainment for the older folks. And we were saying the portrait hung at our table area completely epitomizes the family spirit. hahaha. Overall, great concept and ambience; cannot understand why I've not been there earlier before...

Happy Birthday Mommy

Definitely not the best at baking, but took a shot at making the famous Rainbow cake that everyone's been raving about these days... My violet layer broke, so I ended up with only 5 layers left. Sadly, not a full rainbow. :( But glad Mom liked it :) It was mad tedious though, took me a whole afternoon hahaha. And I was watching and telling Mom how people compete in Masterchef's pressure tests to complete a dish under 45 minutes. Hahaha #failonmypart

And photos above are my first batch of developed photos from Lightroom. Mad loving LR! Just that shooting in RAW really takes up so much space... :/ And homecooked dishes, all of which are a few of Mom's specialty dishes, which she decided to whip up today. I really, really love her Tomyum soup; shall kope the recipe from her and try it out sometime. :D Meanwhile, enjoy the photos! :)
