Counting Stars

Had a random spontaneous stay at MBS with the xlbs last friday, headed to the lego exhibition while waiting for the guys to arrive, and it was soooo amazing. I remember lego being a huge part of my childhood; I wasn't the typical little girl who only played with barbie dolls and dressups, but rather I spent the bulk of my childhood building lego houses, pretended to be chefs with my mini stove and fake plastic foodtoys, and spent hours and hours on my playstation/computer building simscity/simshospital/simshouses. Come to think of it, I had a pretty strange boyish-childhood hahaha. I remember owning quite an extensive set of lego bricks, like I would buy and collect different editions and I had a mini corner in the living room dedicated to keeping my lego collection..... until I got older and starting neglecting my lego toys for books and school. Then my dad made this huge decision to give my entireeeee collection to my little cousin. :( I remember being so upset then that he didn't get my permission before he made that decision, but now I'm just glad that my collection is in good hands :) Anywayyyy, can't wait for the upcoming Mummy exhibition this end-April, but kinda of a bummer that photography isn't allowed :/

And last friday was a hellava stay, watching hantus/exorcism/ghost/prank videos at eerie timings, vlogging, talking shit, trolling in the toilet and having fake photoshoots hahahah and doing what we do best :) My friends are simply too darn mad spontaneous :3

And the morning after was spent at the infinity pool. Despite the crowd, the infinity pool is still darn awesome. :3

And here's a shameless attempt on my part with a reaaaally short cover of Rachel Yamagata's Elephants to end off this post. Loved the song, and tried to do up a brief cover (a quicker and slightly different version) after a friend posted about it recently... Excuse the shaky vocals/guitar playing tho :( Ahhh this is mad embarassing, but heck #yolo. :)

Chock Full of Beans

Chock Full of Beans on a weekday a couple of weeks ago; mad loving their aglio olio!! Their latte art was so cute too - we were served one with xiaodingdang and another with mymelody. Their salmon salad also came in quite a generous portion for the amount we paid for. Definitely worth a revisit! Need to try the other weekend brunch items on their menu heh :D For those who are interested, getting there might be a problem though - since it's really quite inaccessible if you do not drive. Nevertheless, their prices are quite reasonable, with plus points for the lack of service charge! :D

Despite its dodgy rep at night, Changi Village is actually quite a quaint location to hang out in the day. Found quite a few interesting eateries/cafes there, maybe should head back again sometime to explore thoroughly...

Yet another gem located in the east of Singapore. So much #eastiespride hahaha.

In a World of Magnets and Miracles

So much backlog of photos - finally having an afternoon off to clear them. Just a couple of brunch/food outlets that I've been to over the last few weeks:

Antoinette

Headed to Antoinette at their Penhas outlet with some of the xlb girls for brunch earlier this year. Not a huge fan of desserts, but would really like to visit the Palais Renaissance outlet someday - heard it has a Versailles garden theme with really pretty decor! :D

------------

Table Manners

Tried out Table Manners with YK after she came back from the US. Quaint little cafe nestled in the heart of Changi - yet another east brunch location! Scoreee. It was pretty good though, coffee was good and I loved their aglio olio! :) Pity YK just had her wisdom tooth removed, so the entire dinner was basically just me gorging myself as per usual heh. Was a great catchup too; listening to all her travel stories makes me really wanna head to the US one day. Envious much haha.

Open Door Policy

Was a pity that we forgot to make a reservation; the place was packed and we had to settle for the counter seats. Their smoked salmon with scrambled eggs came in such a huge portion, it was definitely worth the price I paid for it hahaha. Tried out the apple crumble too, which was highly recommended in alot of the reviews we pored over. Not a fan of desserts but it was sooo good! :D Oh and prices are slightly more on the high-side at ODP though, but definitely worth a try! :D:D

Akashabu

Rare treat by the sis at Akashabu @ KLP. IT WAS SOOOO DAMN GOOD I'M NOT EVEN KIDDING. We tried out all the different kinds of beef, pork and it was just so, so satisfying. :D The place was packed too, perhaps cos we went there on a public holiday (Good Friday)... and KLP was swarming with teens cos' of the script concert that night. Even managed to meet Ame and YR who were there for the concert haha. Overall, was a really good dinner thanks to the sis!^^ Need to head back again somedayyyy!
